As you move further into the story, the plot thickens and the dramatic intensity increases significantly. Once I got to the final third of the book, I knew I wouldn't be stopping until I finished and there was no guessing what the end would have in store until you were almost on top of it. The possibilities as I read seemed endless and once the mystery was introduced, I found myself jotting down all of my theories and then crossing them out as I came upon something to lead me in another direction or change my thinking. When I finally had my "Aha!" moment, I was pretty close to the end. It was very well written and I'm looking forward to reading other books by this author. I will definitely be adding The Girl on the Train to my top ten for 2015.

I liked this one, although I did falter a bit in the middle (although not necessarily the books fault, was jusy busy). I also wanted to see how it ended! And I liked it right from the beginning- the opening with her on the train that just seemed very real. I didn't like all the characters (they're all pretty flawed) but I did feel bad for the lead, and really hoped she would get help/ get away from the alcohol.
ReplyDeleteNice reviews!
Thanks! It did have a few slow moments but I was so fascinated by her behavior that it pushed me through them.
DeleteI've heard such mixed reviews on this one. Either people absolutely love it or hate it! It seem's like many of the bloggers I follow are giving it glowing reviews, so I guess I'll have to give it a shot!
ReplyDeleteIf you read Gone Girl and liked it, you'll like this. I loved Gone Girl but hated the ending (which I won't spoil) but this ending was ok. Hope you like it!
